Yes, that CAN be one element of a well-designed course. But Course Genius is about SO much more than that. (Besides, my most expensive course — Market Detective — is almost 20 hours long. That’s not short. But there’s a reason for that. I explain it in Course Genius.)
❌ I REPEAT, COURSE GENIUS IS NOT ABOUT MAKING COURSES SHORT.
(I’m saying it again, just in case you didn’t believe me the first time.) And on a similar note…
❌ Course Genius is NOT about making courses “tight” or “no-fluff”.
As above. These are elements of a well-designed course … but far from the most important thing. (I’ll show you what the most important thing actually IS — and I’ll wager it’s something you have NEVER heard anyone else say is the most important thing.) And besides — how “tight” is tight enough? How do you work out what’s “fluff” and what’s not? How do you work out how much scope your course should cover, and what to leave for another course? I actually have specific rules you can use to work all this out. And I teach them in Course Genius.
❌ Course Genius is NOT about engineering courses for “consumption”.
Oh, did you think that was the “most important thing” I was hinting at before? Well, sorry, but no. Getting your courses consumed is rather important. I show you how to do it in Course Genius. But there are things even more important. I show you how to do those, too, in Course Genius. (And no, it’s not “value” or “results” or anything else. Stop guessing. You won’t guess it. I promise. That’s why this course is so good. It really will blow your mind.)

I mean, yes, there are some bonus lessons where I walk you through how I set up my slides, the tools I use, and even where you get to watch me record a real lesson. It’s not integral to my method, because Course Genius is NOT about the technical side of course creation, and I do NOT assume you will create courses like I do.
❌ Course Genius is NOT specific to copywriting.
Actually, nothing in my course design model is specific to the copywriting industry. (Case in point, while creating Course Genius, I helped my brother Benjamin design his nutrition course, It’s Not Macro-cket Science, according to my principles. And he is certainly not in the ‘copywriting’ industry.) In Course Genius I feature examples from industries like music, fitness, finance, language learning, business, and others.

P.S. Here are few FAQs some people have been asking me…
“Is there a money-back guarantee?”
No, there is no money-back guarantee. If you don’t trust me to deliver, it means you haven’t bought one of my courses before, in which case why are you buying a course on course design from me anyway?
“How is the course delivered?”
It is a video course delivered via my Persuasive Page smartphone app (desktop access is offered as a courtesy, only after the app has been set up on your smartphone). But again, this is true of all my courses, so if you have bought any of my other courses (like you should have if you’re considering this one) you know this already.
“How long will I have to watch Course Genius to benefit from it?”
That’s up to you. You could theoretically watch as little as five minutes and get your money’s worth, I think. But the more you watch, the more insights you will get. The full runtime of the course is about 150 minutes (~1.5 hours on 1.5x speed), plus about another hour’s worth of bonus content. It is very short, by design. (Plus, I think you will WANT to keep watching, due to the way I have built the course.)
“Will your method work for live presentations?”
Yes, many of the ideas will “work” for live presentations in that you can apply them. HOWEVER, note that live presentations inherently solve many of the problems of digital courses (i.e. people HAVE to “consume” them because they are there in person, they HAVE to do everything in the exact order you deliver it, and you can literally FORCE them to do action steps because they are there), so some of my solutions for those problems are irrelevant. Course Genius still contains many ideas you can apply to live presentations — no doubt about that whatsoever. But the REAL genius of my method is how it solves the problems inherent in digital courses with no coaching or live component.
“Will your method work for cohort-style online courses where I deliver the content over several weeks and a group does it all together?”
Yes, many of my ideas are applicable to that style of course, though admittedly this is not the primary use case for Course Genius. That said, you may find that you choose NOT to deliver your material in that format after watching Course Genius, for reasons that will be clear to you as you go through the course. But to answer in two words … “yes, mostly”.
“Will your method work for books/audio courses?”
Yes. Course Genius primarily assumes digital courses, but the principles are absolutely applicable to books and audio courses.
“Can’t I just reverse-engineer your course design system from your other courses?”
You can try. And you should! ‘Cause my courses are amazing. And you’ll probably end up with a better course by trying to imitate mine. Also, it’s good to take initiative and try figuring things out for yourself, without waiting for someone to spoon-feed you. However, you’ll likely only get the ‘surface’ stuff. Course Genius goes deep into the fundamental essence of what I’m doing, and how — and it’s far, far deeper than anything you will work out on your own. Many superfans and long-time customers of mine have tried harder than you, and they candidly admit that what they figured out from their reverse-engineering barely scratched the surface.
“Well, as someone who: 1. has (and has gone through) all your courses, every AiC issue and every bonus level, 2. has put a decent amount of thought into reverse-engineering your course design principles for myself while waiting for Course Genius, here are some of the things that still blew my mind:
1. How consumption (or length of courses) is NOT the end-all be-all of course design. The idea that designing a course for _______ ‘before’ consumption (which inevitably ‘leads’ to better consumption) was eye-opening for sure. Honestly, I wondered if (making consumable/tight/short courses) was kinda going to be a huge focus of the course and it was great to see that there is a much deeper level than that.

3. Designing [REDACTED] to create [REDACTED] (super obvious in hindsight, but not when looking at it).
4. The “2nd most important idea” in the course (how the most logical roadmap hurts consumption) and the best way to present boring topics.
There were a bunch of smaller things too, but as far as big juicy ideas I can see I can make a ton of money with when I put them to use – those 4 are the best for me. To quote Ben Settle, you’re really “putting the cookies back in the jar” with this course. Amazing stuff.
P.S. The way you suggested to design the drum course was GENIUS… especially with the [REDACTED]. This is EXACTLY in line with the best ways to teach guitar to beginners for maximum retention (in in-person lessons).
FYI: some of the things I did get right (like [REDACTED]… so I didn’t totally fail, haha) but even within that stuff, there were little details I could’ve done way better or nuances I didn’t think about etc. so it’s all great.”
