On Saturday my younger brother Benjamin visited my place.
Benjamin is a personal trainer. So he came over and we did a workout together.
He pointed out I was ‘cheating’ with my form on a few exercises … and when I did it ‘right’ I could suddenly only do half as many reps 😅
(He’s also a beast of a cook … and turned up to my house with a knife, a lemon, and a block of Parmesan, because “I figured we might end up cooking, and no matter what I’m cooking I was probably going to use those”, lol.)
But we didn’t end up cooking.
Because we got busy talking about something else:
Email marketing.
At the moment he’s diving into emails and how he can make them work for his business.
Specifically … he’s trying to drive new leads to book an initial call with him, where he plans out a fitness program for them. And he wanted to know how to use emails to help.
My advice?
Build a simple autoresponder that new leads go through.
And fill it with emails that talk about three things:
1. Common questions and objections people have before booking a call
2. Stories about people who came to him struggling with their weight … but are now crushing it
3. Interesting facts and anything that positions him as a trustworthy expert.
I asked him if there was anything that usually shocked new leads when he told them.
“Well, sometimes I point out that you can lose weight by eating McDonald’s,” he said. “So if you’re a guy and you eat 3,500 calories worth of salad, versus 2,500 calories worth of Maccas, you’ll lose more weight on the Maccas diet …”
“Perfect example!” I said.
And then I sat at the laptop and bashed out a quick template for one of the emails in his funnel:
=====
The McDonald’s Diet Plan 🍔🍟
Below are two daily diet options.
Which one do you think would help you lose weight faster?
Diet A:
2,500 calories worth of Quarter Pounders, Big Macs, large fries, Coke, McDonald’s cookies & McFlurries
Diet B:
3,500 calories worth of salads, avocado, lean chicken breast, vegetables, fish, nuts & protein shakes
Your pick?
Well, the answer is …
Diet A — the McDonald’s diet.
“What?!?” you say.
It’s true.
Diet A is 1,000 calories less than Diet B.
And when it comes to losing weight, the #1 most important thing is how many net calories you’re consuming.
This is something called energy deficit balance.
Now I’m not saying you should binge on Maccas every day to lose weight …
… but the truth is it’s possible to get huge and shred fat while also eating a diet YOU love.
That’s what we do for you at Aether Fitness.
We help you come up with a fitness plan for hitting your goals … while also eating and living the way you want to.
You can book a call here …
=====
That only took two minutes to write.
And as you can see, all you’d have to do is come up with a bunch of those, throw them in a funnel, and automate it.
Then you put new leads into the funnel … and it does the selling for you while you sleep.
Of course, this template above works best for service businesses, like Benjamin’s.
If you have a different business, you’d structure your autoresponder differently.
(I re-did my own autoresponder just last week and I honestly believe it is unlike any other in the world … but then again, I’m good at this stuff, just sayin’)
So if you’d like help coming up with your own autoresponder … you know where to go.

Oh, and … do you want fries with that?
